Head Coach
Lou Vullo
Coach Vullo is entering his 8th season as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach of the Golden High School Demons. He has been coaching high school basketball for over 30 years and is entering his 22nd year as a Head Coach. Last season, Coach Vullo reached a milestone by winning over 300 games in his career; a testament to his history of success. Going into the 2025-2026 season, Coach Vullo’s career record is 314-179.
At GHS, Coach Vullo’s teams have won a league title, finished league runner-up twice, qualified for the State Playoffs in six of his seven seasons, and reached the Sweet 16 three times. During his 22 year tenure at three different programs, he won five Frontier League Titles, five District Championships, two District Championship Runner-up titles, and made six Sweet 16 appearances. He was awarded the Frontier League Coach of the Year Award four times, finished runner-up twice, and was named Jeffco 4A League Coach of the Year in 2019-2020. Coach Vullo’s teams have qualified for the State Tournament 20 times during his 21 year Head Coaching career.
He is a graduate of Metropolitan State and has a BA in Human Performance in Sports. Coach Vullo and his beautiful wife of 22 years, Nikky, have 2 children. His son, Marcello, is a graduate of Golden High School and is currently an Assistant Coach on the basketball staff. His daughter, Gabriella, is also a graduate of Golden High School.

Head Coach JV
Coach Enriquez is ecstatic to return as the Head JV Coach this season, marking his 8th year at Golden High School and his 19th year in coaching overall. A dedicated and passionate leader, he brings nearly two decades of experience in developing athletes both on and off the court.
Before joining Golden, Coach Enriquez spent nine years at Pinnacle Charter Schools as the Head JV Coach. He also led the middle school program for six seasons, guiding his teams to two district championships and one runner-up finish. His coaching career began at Sheridan High School, where he served as the Head C-Team Coach for two years, helping build foundational skills and a strong love for the game in younger athletes.
In addition to his work at the high school level, Coach Enriquez also supports the Golden Youth Basketball Association (GYBA), helping develop future talent and build a strong foundation for the program at the youth level.
Assistant Coach
Coach Barela brings over 39 years of basketball coaching experience, including establishing a successful YMCA high school basketball program and assisting Coach Vullo for 22 years. Together, Coach Vullo and Coach Barela have won five district championships, two runner-ups, five League titles, and six Sweet 16 appearances. Coach Barela has been married to his lovely wife Faye for 39 years. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters.
Assistant Coach
Coach Maston graduated from Ranum High School in 1993 before attending Northeastern Junior College and Metropolitan State. He is entering his 8th year with the Demons Basketball program and is also the Varsity boys/girls golf coach. Prior to joining GHS, Coach Maston spent 18 years at Jefferson High School, which included six state playoff appearances, three District Championship runner-ups, one sweet 16 appearance. He was named Frontier League Coach of the Year in 2014. Coach Maston has been married to his lovely wife Nicky for 27 years and has two children, Michael and Jennifer.
Assistant Coach
Coach Robberson is entering his 8th season coaching high school basketball. At GHS, he spent three seasons as the Girls Varsity Assistant Coach and, after one year as the Girls Head JV Coach, transitioned to the Boys program as the Head Level 3 Coach.
At GHS, Coach Robberson’s teams have made the playoffs 3 out of 4 years and posted the school’s first undefeated JV season in over a decade. Prior to his time at GHS, he coached for four years at two programs mentored by future college and professional coaches, leading the team to one undefeated season and two 15-win campaigns.
He is a graduate of Colorado Mesa University with a B.A. in Business. He is a general manager of a window cleaning company and is in the process of starting an insurance company.
Assistant Coach
Coach Diaz DeLeon is in his 3rd year of coaching at Golden High School. He played basketball for Coach Vullo at Pinnacle Charter High School. Coach Diaz has graduated from Metropolitan State University, with a major in Construction Project Management and minor in Mechanical Engineering.
Assistant Coach
Coach Marcello Vullo is in his 4th season as an Assistant Coach for the Golden Demons. He is a 2022 graduate of Golden High School and played basketball for the Demons. Coach Marcello Vullo is currently attending Red Rocks Community College and works for the Denver Water Department.
